Senior Engineering Manager

Role overview

GiveCampus is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager (remote-first, U.S.-based) to lead engineering delivery through two or more engineering pods. You’ll join a growing team of 30+ engineers and serve as one of two Engineering/Dev Managers, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Pod & people management: ensure pods run effectively with clear goals, strong interactions/scheduling, and healthy delivery rhythm.
• Performance, onboarding, and growth: lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, retention, and professional development for your teams.
• Unblock and multiply impact: act as a multiplier to help pods build features end-to-end (back end to front end).
• Partner on planning & delivery: collaborate with Tech Leads and Product Managers to define/refine projects, including architecture input, work breakdown, scheduling, and release planning.
• Executive communication: provide status and progress updates against delivery objectives to senior management.
• Agile leadership: work with teammates in an agile environment and help reinforce and improve Agile practices.
• Engineering contribution: contribute to architecture and PR reviews, and maintain shared documentation.
• Mentorship: mentor junior and mid/senior staff to grow their craft.

Requirements

• Strong technical focus with the ability to make technical and staffing decisions that shape engineering direction.
• Experience managing engineering teams/pods and delivering on product roadmaps.
• Ability to partner effectively with Tech Leads and Product Managers.
• Proven capability in agile execution and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience building and scaling a product/platform end-to-end (back end through front end).
