Senior Engineering Manager

Role Overview

As a Senior Engineering Manager at GiveCampus, you will manage two or more engineering pods (each with a Tech Lead and 2–5 engineers working closely with a Product PM). You’ll make key technical and staffing decisions that shape the platform’s future and help your teams plan and deliver against the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• People & Pod Management: Ensure pods operate effectively with clear goals, strong cadence, and structured interactions.
  • Own growth & development, performance management, onboarding, retention, and difficult staffing decisions.
• Unblock & Multiply Impact: Act as an unblocker to help pods deliver features end-to-end (from back end to front end).
• Technical Leadership with Tech Leads & PMs:
  • Collaborate to define/refine projects, evaluate architecture, break down work, and support scheduling and release planning.
• Delivery Communication: Communicate status, progress, and delivery outcomes to senior leadership.
• Agile Collaboration: Work in and help reinforce continuous improvement of Agile practices.
• Hands-on Contributions: Contribute to architecture and PR reviews, and keep shared documentation up to date.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams and leading multiple pods/working groups.
• Strong technical focus with ability to influence architecture, delivery planning, and engineering execution.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Ability to drive hiring, onboarding, and performance management.

Nice to Haves

• Experience working closely with Tech Leads and Product Managers to deliver product roadmap initiatives.
• Demonstrated mentorship and talent development.
