Senior Engineering Manager (Core Infrastructure)

About the role

Join UJET as a Senior Engineering Manager, where you will lead the Core Infrastructure team and shape the backbone of our cloud-native CCaaS platform. You will drive the strategy and execution for GCP orgs, networking, compute, base images, Terraform frameworks, and upgrades. You will also own the design, deployment, and operation of shared cloud primitives, define and enforce best practices, and partner with product and engineering teams. Additionally, you will mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and technical excellence. Key missions: Lead and shape the Core Infrastructure team, driving the strategy and execution for GCP orgs, networking, compute, base images, Terraform frameworks, and upgrades.. Own the design, deployment, and operation of shared cloud primitives, defining and enforcing best practices for scalability, security, observability, and maintainability.. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and technical excellence, while driving continuous improvement in processes, automation, and infrastructure reliability. Profile: - Proven track record of designing and operating scalable, reliable cloud systems - Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical understanding - Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform) - Strong expertise in GCP, including organization/folder structure, networking, compute, load balancing, and IAM - Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills - 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role - Experience base image management, and automated upgrades - Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments - Knowledge of security best practices in cloud infrastructure - Comfort working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams - Experience in high-growth, fast-moving technology companies, preferably in SaaS or CCaaS
