Role Overview

Join Brightwheel as a Senior Engineering Manager, leading a high-performing full-stack engineering team to deliver key product outcomes with quality and urgency.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a full-stack engineering team, owning not only outcomes but also team health and culture.
Collaborate with Product and Design to shape:
- roadmap priorities
- technical tradeoffs
- delivery plans
Leverage AI and automation to improve:
- engineering velocity
- operational excellence
Set and drive a high bar for execution, quality, and delivery.
Define and influence broader engineering best practices and systems.
Coach and mentor engineers through regular feedback and mentorship.

Requirements

4+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of shipping complex, high-impact software.
Strong technical background: ability to assess architecture, guide design decisions, and remove blockers.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, product-centric environment.
Experience coaching Senior and Staff-level engineers.
Customer empathy and advocacy in sprints, specs, and systems.
Ability to move fast, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver results.
