About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Aledade, you will lead a team of senior ML engineers building technologies that improve and save lives. You will drive technical solutioning, set ambitious goals, and partner with stakeholders across the company to align AI/ML initiatives with business strategy.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a high-performing team of senior ML engineers (hiring, coaching, performance management).
Drive technical solutioning and help shape technology decisions while empowering team members.
Build roadmaps and set aggressive, clear goals for the team.
Align AI/ML work with strategic goals, ensuring day-to-day execution matches long-term objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, data science, and clinical stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, building confidence in analyses.

Requirements

5+ years of managerial experience leading technical engineering teams.
10+ years production experience as an engineer and technical lead building scalable, reliable software.
BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience hiring, coaching, mentoring, and managing performance of world-class engineers.
Strong ownership mindset and ability to delegate while empowering engineers.
Proven ability to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps and communicate plans across audiences.
7+ years in machine learning-related technologies, strong preference for Python.

Nice-to-haves / Additional Signals

Experience designing secure, scalable, maintainable AI/ML platform architectures.
Strong familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), model training infrastructure, and MLOps.
Familiarity with current AI/ML research trends and translating research into healthcare applications.
Data-driven approach to inform engineering/research roadmaps and resource planning.
Startup experience and strong business acumen.
Familiarity with enterprise/healthcare AI-enabled workflows.
