The role blends people management with hands-on technical leadership across distributed systems and cross-platform delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering execution: set priorities, ownership, delivery timelines, and quality expectations.

  • Stay technically engaged: code review, architectural input, and evaluate trade-offs.
  • Partner with product and technical leadership to translate AI product strategy into executable engineering plans.
  • Establish and improve processes: planning, release management, testing, and operational reliability.
  • Maintain high standards for security, performance, maintainability, documentation, and production readiness.
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, and scaling while building an ownership-and-quality engineering culture.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of software development experience, including significant leadership in complex product environments.
  • 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams (senior engineers/technical leads).
  • Strong technical background in AI-enabled products: LLM applications, RAG systems, agents, or automation workflows.
  • Experience building cross-platform applications (web, desktop, mobile) using modern frameworks/architectures.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade requirements: security, privacy, compliance, and customer-controlled deployments.
  • Experience with distributed systems and scalable, reliable product engineering.
  • Ability to structure ambiguity into clear execution plans and sustain delivery momentum.
  • Excellent communication skills to align stakeholders on technical trade-offs and priorities.

Bonus

  • Experience in open-source ecosystems, compliance frameworks, or early-stage product development.

Benefits / Work Setup

  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling.
  • Competitive compensation with annual bonus and equity/long-term incentives.
  • Comprehensive health coverage, retirement contributions, paid time off, professional development stipend, home office support, and parental/sick leave.
