Senior Engineer, Software Development, Full Stack

Role Overview

Join Sandisk in building a next-generation financial planning and forecasting platform used to drive strategic decisions across the organization. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will own critical services end-to-end, influence architecture, and mentor peers while delivering features that impact Finance planning and analysis at large scale.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features across:
  • Frontend: Next.js and MUI
  • Backend: FastAPI/Python
• Design APIs and data models for planning, forecasting, and analysis workflows; ensure data integrity and performance in PostgreSQL
• Operate production services with logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and SLOs; debug issues across microservices
• Improve performance and reliability: profile endpoints, tune queries, reduce page load times, optimize containerized deployments
• Apply security and compliance practices:
  • secure coding
  • manage secrets
  • enforce least privilege in AWS
  • support audit needs (access controls, data retention)
• Use Infrastructure as Code to define and evolve CloudFormation stacks (IAM, networking, autoscaling)
• Improve CI/CD and quality with GitHub Actions, automate tests, and maintain strong code review + documentation
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, Finance partners, and data engineers to translate business rules into resilient software
• Mentor teammates and raise the engineering bar via architecture influence and best practices

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years building across both frontend and backend for modern web apps
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and PostgreSQL (schemas, migrations, performance, transactions)
• Production experience with Next.js + MUI (or React + component libraries), TypeScript, and accessible UI
• Strong knowledge of AWS, containers, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation preferred)
• Track record designing and operating microservices, REST APIs, and secure scalable architectures
• Familiarity with testing strategies and observability; pragmatic documentation habits

• Experience with containerized microservices and async processing using Celery with caching via Redis
