Senior Engineer (Cloud Platforms)

Hypori is hiring a Senior Engineer (Cloud Platforms) to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure platforms with a focus on Kubernetes and EC2-based workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure platforms for cloud-native workloads (Kubernetes + EC2).
• Lead development and optimization of container- and VM-based deployment platforms.
• Build automation for infrastructure provisioning and management (IaC + configuration management).
• Develop infrastructure engineering expertise across teams through mentorship and technical guidance.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies with an emphasis on high-compliance industry needs.

Requirements

• Strong Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Configuration management: Ansible and/or Puppet.
• Kubernetes experience and familiarity with service mesh (e.g., Istio).
• Mentorship experience; ability to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• 12+ years progressive engineering experience with cloud-native and modern DevOps practices.
• Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Experience delivering software to SaaS and air-gapped installations.
• Experience building and automating RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Python, Java, or Go for production automation (4+ years).
• Experience with multi-account/subscription cloud environments and landing zones.
• 5+ years deploying/managing applications in public cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• SRE practices and incident response experience.
• Linux/Unix system administration, configuration, and performance tuning (4+ years).
• Cloud security, networking fundamentals (VPCs, load balancers, service mesh), and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Observability expertise: Prometheus/Grafana, centralized logging (ELK, Splunk), distributed tracing, and automated alerting.
• Containerization/orchestration: Kubernetes and Docker with production deployment experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
