About the role

Role Overview

Senior Director, Software Engineering responsible for strategic technical leadership of real-time fraud detection and identity verification platforms. You will oversee distributed engineering teams and drive operational excellence across cloud-native, microservices-based systems, at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and scalable distributed infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the technical vision and long-term engineering strategy for fraud detection and identity verification platforms.
Lead and scale high-performing distributed/remote engineering teams (including managers and engineering leadership).
Deliver reliable, high-quality distributed systems and microservices across multi-cloud environments (AWS and GCP).
Partner with product, research, security, and executive stakeholders to align platform capabilities to customer and business priorities.
Establish engineering standards, architectural best practices, and operational excellence frameworks for scalability, performance, and security.
Guide responsible adoption and integration of AI/ML/automation technologies into core platform capabilities.
Improve engineering productivity, delivery predictability, and system resilience while fostering an innovative, collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

10+ years of software engineering leadership experience, including leading managers and large engineering organizations.
Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and high-availability cloud-native platforms.
Deep technical background with AWS, GCP, or other enterprise cloud ecosystems.
Experience with machine learning infrastructure, AI-driven systems, and Generative AI technologies.
Track record leading globally distributed or remote teams in fast-paced technology organizations.
Strategic thinking: translate business priorities into scalable execution plans.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and executive communication.

Nice to Have

Experience in fraud prevention, authentication technologies, identity management, or voice biometrics.
