Senior Director of Product Management (Health Plans)

Role Overview

Senior Director of Product Management for Health Plans, leading product strategy, business discovery, and requirements development for complex health plan and benefits initiatives. You’ll partner with clients, business leaders, and cross-functional product teams to turn healthcare, regulatory, and client needs into clear outcomes and actionable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Health Plans Product function: strategy, operating model, priorities, and ways of working.
• Drive product strategy and business discovery for health plan/regulatory/benefits opportunities.
• Identify patterns across complex client, market, and regulatory needs and inform sustainable solutions.
• Establish and run operating practices to ensure initiatives are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business and member-experience goals.
• Serve as a senior partner to executives, clients, and cross-functional teams; influence decisions across product, technology, operations, legal, and compliance.
• Ensure strong requirements governance including traceability, scope management, and change control.

Requirements

• 10+ years in product management/product strategy, healthcare solutions, business requirements, benefits administration, or a related field.
• Strong ability to communicate across executive, client, product, technology, operational, legal, and compliance audiences.
• Deep knowledge of product discovery and requirements governance (traceability, scope management, prioritization, change control).
• Proven experience working with complex healthcare organizations and/or regulated-industry clients.
• Ability to translate regulatory, contractual, operational, and client needs into business outcomes and requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

• Significant experience leading product/discovery/requirements teams in healthcare or benefits (regulated industry).
• Experience with health plan/benefits capabilities such as benefit design, eligibility, enrollment, claims/benefit administration, member communications, reporting, data exchange, and operations.
• People leadership experience (develop talent, set accountability, lead through influence).
• Experience across multiple clients/markets/regulatory environments.
• Experience leading initiatives spanning product, technology, operations, legal, compliance, and client-facing teams.
