Senior Director of Product Management (Drone as First Responder)

Role overview

Skydio is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management for its Drone as First Responder (DFR) offering. You will own end-to-end software product features that help public safety and emergency responder customers run scaled remote drone operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the DFR offering end-to-end, aligning with financial and market growth goals in partnership with GTM and Engineering
• Engage actively with customers and internal stakeholders to build expertise in critical DFR use cases and key pain points to solve
• Collaborate with platform PMs to drive and prioritize the DFR roadmap, product requirements, and KPIs
• Lead successful product launches with cross-functional teams

Requirements

• 10+ years defining and launching complex enterprise-grade solutions
• Strong technical background; comfortable with deep discussions with engineers on technical tradeoffs
• Customer-driven mindset; experience working directly with customers to solve for real workflows and problems
• Excellent communication skills, including explaining complex information for executives, partners, and stakeholders
• Data-driven approach, with ability to use market analysis to drive decisions

Nice-to-haves / preferred background

• Professional background in drones, flight interfaces, Drone Management, and/or DFR software
• Experience in real-time crime centers (RTCCs) or real-time operations software
• Professional background in Public Safety or deep expertise working closely with public safety organizations
• Experience using drones for ISR for Federal agencies (or equivalent customer experience)
• Expertise specifically in the enterprise drone market and DFR offerings
• Experience flying drones professionally or in crewed flight
