About the role
Role Overview
Senior Director of Engineering (MEP) is a senior executive team role responsible for leading the engineering practice and managing a team of MEP engineers. You will oversee delivery of retail roll-out engineering projects across the country.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Engineer of Record for constructed projects
- Develop and institute quality control processes
- Sign and seal required documents in all 50 US states (registration support provided)
- Manage workload distribution among MEP team members
- Lead the engineering department, including budget and schedules
- Train and develop MEP staff
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience
- Professional PE registration (required)
- Strong understanding of the application of building and energy codes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Design Master, and MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Lighting design experience
- LEED familiarity
- Prior retail facility design experience
