Senior Director of Engineering

Role Overview

Aspira is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to lead engineering teams and drive delivery of innovative, high-quality products aligned with the company’s growth and strategy. The role shapes the engineering technical vision, establishes best practices, and ensures alignment between engineering execution and business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate the engineering organization’s strategic vision in alignment with company goals.
• Own and continuously refine engineering roadmaps to drive platform modernization, innovation, and technical excellence.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineering leaders and individual contributors; build a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration.
• Direct technical solution development and optimization to meet business needs while maintaining reliability, scalability, and security.
• Define and enforce engineering best practices, including:
  • Code quality standards
  • Testing protocols
  • CI/CD processes
• Ensure security and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including support for audits/certifications such as SOC 2 and PCI.
• Oversee performance, maintenance, and reliability of internal IT systems (infrastructure, hardware, and related services).
• Manage the execution of complex projects to deliver on time and within budget while maintaining rigorous quality standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership overseeing engineering delivery and execution of complex initiatives.
• Ability to drive technical vision, engineering best practices, and cross-team alignment.
• Experience ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with security/compliance programs such as SOC 2 and PCI.
• Experience leading engineering orgs through platform modernization efforts.
