Senior Director - EMEA Startup & VC Business Development

Role overview

The Senior Director, Startup Business Development – EMEA leads development of CoreWeave’s startup and venture capital business across the EMEA region. This is a business development overlay: country sales teams keep account ownership and revenue responsibility, while you create the ecosystem strategy, propositions, programmes, and operating mechanisms that help them identify and win the right AI-native companies earlier.

What you’ll do

• Define and execute the EMEA startup business development strategy, operating plan, and investment priorities.
• Build a systematic view of the regional startup opportunity (markets, investor portfolios, tech categories, and companies likely to consume AI infrastructure).
• Set prioritisation criteria for startups based on factors such as technical ambition, compute intensity, funding trajectory, timing, leadership quality, and strategic value.
• Develop senior relationships with VCs, seed/growth investors, accelerators, universities, research labs, and founder communities.
• Create strategic engagement plans and repeatable mechanisms for portfolio introductions, founder support, technical engagement, and market intelligence.
• Position CoreWeave as the preferred AI infrastructure and developer platform for companies with training, fine-tuning, inference, and applied-intelligence needs.
• Engage founders/CTOs/researchers/investors early—before platform decisions and relationships are locked in.
• Generate qualified opportunities and introductions for country Startup and Digital Native field teams, connecting high-potential companies to the right sellers, technical resources, and executive sponsors.
• Partner with country sales leaders on target companies and ecosystem priorities while maintaining clear account ownership.
• Coordinate strategically important opportunities across Sales and Field Engineering teams.

• London (EMEA) with initial focus on the UK, France, Germany, the Nordics, Benelux, and Israel.
