Senior DevOps Engineer

Role overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at ZayZoon, you’ll design resilient, high-performing cloud systems and raise the bar for reliability, security, and observability across the platform. You’ll partner closely with engineering, data, testing, and security teams to streamline deployments, strengthen compliance, and respond decisively to critical issues.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale ZayZoon’s AWS infrastructure for reliability, performance, and security
• Design and automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage infrastructure stacks
• Optimize PostgreSQL for high availability and performance
• Improve monitoring and observability (detection and proactive issue resolution)
• Build secure, scalable AWS services aligned with SOC-2 and cybersecurity compliance
• Evaluate and remediate Critical/High CVEs across services on demand
• Work cross-functionally to improve deployment processes and help teams adopt DevOps practices
• Apply DevOps best practices across the platform, continuously improving systems end-to-end

Requirements

• 5+ years cloud infrastructure engineering experience in AWS or GCP
• 3+ years experience with Python (or equivalent high-level language such as Go or Ruby)
• Knowledge of Bash and SQL
• Experience with CloudFormation (preferred) or other IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
• Experience with CloudWatch and ECS on Fargate, including CodePipeline and native deployments
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or equivalent)
• Ability to deep dive using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other logging tools such as Athena
• Experience migrating compute from Intel to ARM

• Experience supporting security/compliance workflows for SOC-2
