Senior DevOps Engineer

Role overview

Join Qualifyze as a Senior DevOps Engineer. You’ll define, implement, and maintain cloud-based server and database infrastructure with a focus on security, compliance, and scalability. You will partner with team leads and the software architect, mentor engineers on DevOps best practices, and drive proactive system improvements.

Key missions

• Define, implement, and maintain cloud-based server and database infrastructure managed with Kubernetes
• Own and manage monitoring using Datadog (proactively monitoring across infrastructure modules)
• Collaborate with team leads and the software architect to ensure alignment across engineering efforts
• Participate as an active member of the tech guild and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps initiatives independently and provide technical expertise to the engineering team
• Mentor other engineers on DevOps best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, and infrastructure efficiency

Requirements

• Strong IaC experience with Terraform
• Autonomous ownership of projects and ability to drive them to completion with minimal oversight
• Experience building and managing pipelines/workflows using GitHub Actions (or similar)
• Significant experience with cloud infrastructure (notably AWS preferred)
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm, and Datadog
• Ability to collaborate with software development teams and technical leadership (architects, team leads)
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders
• Solid understanding of security and compliance requirements in cloud environments
