About the role

Role Overview

Join Payslip as a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate a scalable, secure AWS-based platform. You’ll partner with DevOps and development teams to evolve DevOps practices, with an emphasis on automation, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency.

Key Missions

Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to design, build, and operate an evolving AWS platform.
Contribute to the evolution of a leading DevOps organization with a mindset of “automate everything.”
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with QA automation to include automated tests and security checks.

Requirements

AWS expertise: strong working knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
Experience: 7+ years in DevOps (or similar).
CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Terraform (primary)
- AWS SAM
- GitLab CI/CD (desirable)
Security & IAM:
- AWS IAM best practices
- KMS, encryption, and secrets management
Passion for building reliable, scalable, and secure systems.
Observability & Operations:
- CloudWatch metrics, logs, alarms
- incident response
Networking & Edge:
- VPC design, multi-AZ
- Route 53, ALB, CloudFront, WAF
Strong communication and collaboration skills with English fluency.

Nice to Have / Additional Technical Exposure

Docker, ECS (Fargate/EC2), AWS Lambda.
Data & messaging: RDS (PostgreSQL), S3, EBS, EFS, SQS, SNS, ElastiCache (Redis).
Ownership mindset with commitment to mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Location / Work Model

Full remote (Dublin, IE) with option for hybrid working after training.
