About the role

Role overview

You will join Ohalo as a Senior DevOps Engineer to work closely with engineering teams to improve deployment pipelines, environment provisioning, and benchmarking solutions. You’ll collaborate with Customer Success and Solution Architects to ensure client needs are met, while maintaining strong deployment, logging, monitoring, and security practices.

Key missions

Improve deployment pipelines and environment configuration (including “Data X-Ray”).
Work with Customer Success engineers and Solution Architects to meet customer requirements.
Ensure applications follow best practices for deployment, logging, monitoring, and security.

Requirements

Best practices for on-prem deployment and operations, including:
- Blue/green deployment
- Database recovery management
- Monitoring and logging tooling
Thorough understanding of networking and security fundamentals, such as:
- Load balancer configuration
- Certificate issuance
- VPC configuration
Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, GCP, or Hetzner.
Hands-on experience with container and deployment/IaC tools, e.g. Docker, Podman, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tooling.
Ability to work remotely, ideally with a timezone overlap with London for ~4 hours/day.
Strong communication and problem-solving approach; pragmatic mindset for a small company.
