About the role

Role overview

Mirantis is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of customer infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, scalability, and security, while mentoring engineers and contributing to strategic infrastructure decisions.

Responsibilities

Design and deploy customer infrastructure across cloud providers and bare metal environments
Design and manage Kubernetes clusters for microservices architectures
Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery
Design, monitor, and operate development, staging, and production environments
Facilitate knowledge transfer to customers during deployment projects
Collaborate with international, geographically distributed teams
Mentor and grow other DevOps engineers
Contribute to the deployment knowledge base
Continuously improve tooling and technologies

Required skills

Proven DevOps engineering experience
Strong IT automation experience
Solid knowledge of Linux, storage, and networking
Background in microservices architecture and distributed systems
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and related tools
Practical experience with containerization: Docker and Helm
Hands-on scripting/programming in at least one of: Bash, Groovy, Python, Go
Excellent English (written and verbal) and customer-facing communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel as needed for onsite delivery

Nice-to-have

Experience across the AI/ML lifecycle (development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance)
Proficiency in OpenStack

Education & experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field)
At least 5 years of DevOps experience (or similar role)

Location / work style

Anywhere in the world (remote-first culture)
Travel may be required for business and onsite projects
