Role Overview
Senior DevOps Engineer (remote within the United States)
Build, secure, automate, and continuously improve the technology platforms behind evidence-based clinical decision support solutions. You’ll work hands-on with platform engineering, CI/CD automation, operational reliability, DevSecOps practices, and cloud/container enablement across the full delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain deployment pipelines, platform tooling, automation scripts, infrastructure-as-code patterns, and operational runbooks.
- Operate, harden, and continuously improve OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and container-based environments across dev/test/staging/production.
- Support AWS infrastructure and managed services (IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch, load balancing, security groups, KMS).
- Build and improve CI/CD and GitOps workflows using GitLab CI/CD, Tekton, OpenShift GitOps, and Argo CD.
- Automate build/test, dependency analysis, image scanning, packaging/deployment/rollback, verification, and release governance.
- Improve observability and resilience via logging, monitoring, tracing, dashboards/alerting, SLIs/SLOs, telemetry, incident analysis, and backup/restore + DR readiness.
- Integrate DevSecOps into pipelines and environments (access controls, vulnerability remediation, secrets management, certificate handling, operational workflows).
- Partner with Security & Compliance to support HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, OWASP, NIST, auditability, policy enforcement, and supply chain security.
- Support application and data platform operations across Java/Groovy (Spring Boot), .NET (C#), Svelte/SvelteKit, React/TypeScript, MarkLogic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Kafka, Amazon RDS, and related systems.
- Lead structured troubleshooting across application, infrastructure, CI/CD, containers/runtime, identity, network/DNS, TLS, databases, messaging, and data-service layers.
- Mentor DevOps engineers and developers on operational readiness, automation patterns, troubleshooting, secure delivery, and platform standards.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly, validating all outputs before shared or production use.
