About the role

Role overview

Join Flashbots as a Senior DevOps Engineer to fortify the infrastructure powering its Block Builders. You’ll operate and evolve distributed, production-grade systems across cloud and bare-metal environments while working closely with teams supporting rollups and next-generation execution environments.

Responsibilities

Deploy, operate, and ensure reliability of the block builder platform (from Kubernetes clusters to bare-metal environments)
Maintain and scale distributed infrastructure spanning L1 and L2 environments with consistent performance under high-throughput, low-latency workloads
Drive observability and performance optimization for production systems
Design and implement secure CI/CD workflows for high-assurance environments, including TEE-based systems and blockchain node infrastructure
Partner with other teams to support rollup infrastructure and next-generation execution environments
Contribute to the design of secure environments across multiple clouds

Requirements

Proficiency with modern infrastructure tooling: Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana
Experience designing CI/CD pipelines for secure distributed systems
4–10+ years operating complex production systems (ideally covering both traditional infrastructure and crypto-native environments)
Strong skills in Linux, networking, and system internals (ability to scale, secure, and debug from OS to application)
Comfort working in async, remote-first teams with clear communication
Operational scripting experience: Python and Bash
Curiosity about MEV, Ethereum, and decentralized compute

Nice to have

Experience with Go or Rust for automation/integration tooling
