Role overview

Join Semperis as a Senior DevOps Engineer (FedRAMP) to deploy, orchestrate, and run secure operations for the company’s FedRAMP-authorized identity and security products. You’ll be a hands-on engineer who enjoys architecture and implementation in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

Architect and operate Azure Government Cloud infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt.
Manage AKS clusters with Istio for service orchestration and security.
Improve build/release pipelines and GitOps workflows across the FedRAMP boundary.
Maintain compliant CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with security/compliance teams.
Oversee observability and reliability:
- OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana
- Maintain SLAs/SLOs and reliability practices.

Requirements

Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
U.S. citizenship.
5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience.
Hands-on experience with Terraform/Terragrunt, AKS, Helm, Istio, Argo CD, Azure DevOps.
Prior experience working in FedRAMP Moderate or High environments.
Strong understanding of FedRAMP and NIST 800-53.
Experience with Zero Trust architecture, including PIM and RBAC.
Strong scripting/automation in Bash, Python, or Go.

Nice to have

Familiarity with Kafka, microservices, and distributed systems.
Experience with Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Cosmos DB performance tuning.
Experience in large-scale SaaS and/or other regulated environments.
