Senior DevOps/AI Platform Engineer - 100% Remote

Role Overview

Senior DevOps/AI Platform Engineer (100% Remote) responsible for delivering development-stage DevOps build work for internal-use software and platform components (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation) and ensuring release readiness through technical artifacts and initial testing evidence.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement development-stage automation and platform components aligned to approved scope and milestones.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows; create reusable templates and standards for scalable delivery.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support new/enhanced application functionality (environment provisioning, secrets/configuration patterns) and perform initial environment validation.
• Establish release quality gates (code review, static checks, initial test evidence) and provide go-live readiness sign-off for defined releases.
• Produce and maintain technical artifacts such as ADRs, design notes, and runbooks for initial release; ensure traceability between tasks, code changes, and deliverables.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and coordinate implementation decisions with Product and Architecture.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE with hands-on build delivery.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD tooling and workflow automation.
• Experience authoring and reviewing Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep).
• Proficiency in at least one automation scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Ability to implement secure deployment patterns: secrets management, least privilege, and auditability.
• Demonstrated ability to produce technical documentation and delivery artifacts suitable for audit and traceability.
• Experience supporting AI/ML platforms and data pipelines in production.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and/or cloud-native deployment patterns.

• Familiarity with additional cloud-native services/patterns beyond the listed IaC and container orchestration ecosystem.
