About the role

Role Overview

Skydell Medical is hiring a Senior Developer for a full-time, remote position. You will design, build, and maintain software solutions that support the company’s innovative care model, collaborating with product managers, clinicians, and other engineers.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement backend and frontend features
Improve system performance and reliability
Ensure code quality through testing and code reviews
Translate clinical and business requirements into scalable, secure applications
Collaborate across teams with product, clinicians, and developers
Mentor team members and contribute to technical documentation
Help shape and enforce development standards and best practices

Requirements

Strong software development skills in one or more modern programming languages
Experience with software architecture and system design
Working knowledge of APIs, databases, and cloud-based environments
Proficiency in testing, debugging, and code review practices (quality, performance, security)
Experience working in Agile teams with version control and clear stakeholder communication
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to convert complex requirements into practical solutions
Several years of professional software development experience, including senior/lead level experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

Experience in healthcare technology
Familiarity with health data standards
Knowledge of privacy and security regulations, such as HIPAA
