About the role

Role overview

OpenZeppelin is hiring a Senior Developer Relations role for Canton. You will be the dedicated senior technical owner driving developer adoption for OpenZeppelin’s open-source stack on Canton, operating over a 24-month, quarterly milestone program.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own end-to-end developer adoption for OpenZeppelin’s Canton stack, including:
    • Accountability for Contracts Library integrations
    • Reference Implementation deployments (DEX, Lending, Cross-Chain Stablecoin, Confidential Auction)
  • Create technical content aligned to each milestone release:
    • Tutorials, guides, Daml examples, and video walkthroughs
    • Maintain Canton documentation
  • Run quarterly community sessions and provide hands-on coaching at events such as:
    • Canton hackathons, conferences, and incubators (2–3 trips/year)
  • Support ecosystem co-marketing with partners (e.g., ChainSafe)
    • Track and report adoption signals (integrations, forks, deployments) against program milestones

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years hands-on experience in Developer Relations / Developer Advocacy (or similar)
    • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a developer adoption outcome
  • 1–3+ years experience in the blockchain industry with strong technical background
  • Proven track record of producing engaging, high-quality technical content and setting adoption/content strategy
  • Solidity/EVM fluency to bridge Ethereum-native developers to Canton’s model
    • Ability to translate familiar EVM patterns into Daml-based, privacy-preserving workflows
  • Experience delivering technical workshops, presentations, and live coding sessions at community events

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Daml, Canton, or the Digital Asset ecosystem, including relevant standards and tooling (e.g., Canton SDK; CIP-56, CIP-86, CIP-103, CIP-10; Splice)
