Senior Developer

Role overview

Join the Patient Digital Services team as a Senior Developer on a 6+ month contract. You will work on a patient-facing mobile app built with Flutter and a web-based Patient Portal built as an Angular SPA. This is a team augmentation role aimed at accelerating feature delivery from an existing production codebase.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship features for the Flutter patient app (iOS and Android)
• Build and maintain features for the Angular Patient Portal SPA
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end patient capabilities
• Contribute to architecture decisions across mobile and web
• Perform code reviews and provide expert guidance to the team
• Integrate mobile/web with a backend stack of Spring Boot microservices on AWS (API Gateway, ECS, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Lambda)
• Work within an Agile cadence, including coordination with offshore teams

Requirements

• 5–8 years of overall development experience
• Flutter/Dart: 3+ years, with shipped iOS and Android apps
• Angular: strong experience with Angular 12+, including:
  • Component architecture
  • RxJS
  • State management
• Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authentication flows, including PKCE and token handling
• Strong understanding of iOS/Android platform nuances (deep links/universal links, push notifications, app signing)
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs
• Comfortable working on existing production codebases (not only greenfield)
• Strong communication skills for distributed/offshore collaboration

Nice to have

• Healthcare or HIPAA-aware experience / regulated data environments
• Familiarity with feature flag tooling (e.g., Split.io)
• Experience with patient portals, scheduling, or insurance verification workflows
• AWS-backed mobile/web architecture experience
