Senior Developer Backend Search CD+E

Role Overview

Senior Developer focused on Backend/Search and CI/CD + Engineering Enablement (CD+E) for a team modernizing build and delivery workflows and building search infrastructure for a video platform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance search infrastructure and handle technical escalations
• Develop scalable search solutions for the video platform
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and stored procedures
• Modernize CI/CD pipelines by untangling legacy build processes into reliable automated delivery workflows
• Contribute to a strong ownership culture by driving improvements end to end

Requirements (Mandatory)

• 5+ years backend development experience
• 3+ years hands-on with Apache Solr, including:
  • Schema design and configuration
  • Query optimization and performance tuning
  • Indexing strategies and data ingestion
  • Faceting, filtering, and search relevance
• Experience with .NET/C# and SQL Server
• Strong understanding of search algorithms, tokenization, and text analysis
• Experience developing RESTful APIs
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to Have

• Experience with Elasticsearch, Lucene, or other search engines
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of internationalization and multi-language search
