Senior Design Engineer

Role Overview

Evolve is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to architect and build the company’s financial experience so everyday and high-stakes data feels transparent, intuitive, and actionable. You’ll lead end-to-end design and implementation of reports, dashboards, and user flows across tiered products (Core, Plus, Pro), serving both first-time homeowners and professional property operators.

Responsibilities

• Architect Financial Trust: Own the end-to-end financial experience for Core, Plus, and Pro tiers.
• Build responsive interfaces and component logic for navigating complex financial distributions with clarity.
• Product Design Strategy: Partner with teams to ensure interface decisions improve conversion, feature adoption, and retention; comfortable debating unit economics and UI.
• AI-Native Prototyping: Use AI-forward development environments to rapidly test concepts as working prototypes and reduce time from hypothesis to production-ready code.
• Production-Level Craft: Implement fluid interactions, elegant data visualizations, and reliable state management in the front-end architecture.
• Scalable Product Architecture: Evolve the Pro product using reusable components and views that handle variable data, edge cases, and advanced operator workflows.
• Solve from First Principles: Use data and owner feedback to determine what to design/engineer before issues become support problems.
• Autonomy and Ownership: Ship features and own outcomes across multiple product areas.
• Systemic UI Thinking: Strengthen Evolve’s design system by translating patterns into a robust, accessible, reusable code library.

Requirements

• 7+ years building B2B/Fintech products or high-growth tech-enabled services.
• Strong production-grade UX/UI craft with modern front-end engineering and a high bar for typography, alignment, and motion.
• React + TypeScript (and experience with CSS-in-JS architectures).
• Advanced proficiency using AI development environments/tools for functional, interactive prototyping.
• Solid financial domain sense and understanding of how financial data flows through an application (e.g., revenue splits, accounting logic, tax reporting) and its implications for front-end systems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building scalable B2B dashboards/reporting experiences for financial/operational users.
• Familiarity with complex data visualization and edge-case-heavy UI for professional operators.
