Senior Demo Platform Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Demo Platform Engineer will design and operate a scalable demo environment platform that powers customer demonstrations, evaluations, and internal enablement. This role translates demo requirements into repeatable, automated environments while maintaining reliability and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate a standardized demo platform for provisioning and maintaining demo environments at scale.
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code to automate environment creation, updates, resets, and teardown.
• Build CI/CD workflows to keep demo environments aligned with release trains, configurations, and feature flags.
• Create and maintain "golden" demo templates with realistic configuration and safe, reusable seed data.
• Improve reliability and field-team experience using observability, alerting, runbooks, and self-service tooling.
• Implement access controls and security best practices for demo environments, including secrets handling and auditability.
• Partner with Sales Engineering and Product to support demo use cases and reduce time-to-demo.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across the stack (infrastructure, networking, app config, data) as an escalation point.
• Define metrics and dashboards for demo health (availability, provisioning time, failure rates, usage) and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure) and automation at scale.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or equivalent).
• Experience building and operating CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and environment lifecycle management.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent) for automation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to support internal customers with production-grade reliability and clear operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building self-service platforms (portals, CLI tools, templates) for environment provisioning.
• Familiarity with feature flagging, configuration management, and multi-tenant demo environments.
