Senior Delivery Manager

Role Overview

As a Senior Delivery Manager at Robots & Pencils, you’ll be the senior delivery authority for cross-functional client engagements—owning execution from kickoff through release, leading distributed onshore/offshore teams, and serving as the primary delivery partner to the client.

Responsibilities

• Craft & deliver end-to-end, multi-phase engagements; align scope, budget, timeline, and quality to meet delivery commitments.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery execution across cross-functional teams.
• Run milestone-sprint demos and manage client sign-off against defined acceptance criteria (including UAT).
• Manage phased releases, production readiness, and transitions into operations & maintenance.
• Coordinate delivery across a split architecture (e.g., provider-owned AWS application layer and client-owned Azure data layer), including API contract and event-schema alignment.
• Proactively manage dependencies, risks, scope changes, and escalations before they block progress.
• Define, track, and report delivery KPIs, using data to guide decisions and delivery health.
• Support QA and UAT to ensure quality and outcomes meet agreed acceptance criteria.
• Apply an AI-forward mindset (e.g., using Claude) to enhance delivery planning, reporting, and stakeholder communications.

Collaboration & Communication

• Serve as the primary client delivery contact, building trusted relationships through clear and consistent communication.
• Lead stakeholder working sessions and delivery forums; communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to both executive and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with client teams to identify expansion opportunities (scope, follow-on work, new use cases).
• Translate delivery progress into business impact (ROI, milestones, decisions) rather than just status updates.

Leadership & Influence

• Lead distributed delivery teams (onshore and offshore), fostering accountability, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
