Role Overview

Senior Delivery Manager (Remote) at Progressive Leasing (Prog Tech). You’ll lead delivery at the team level—close to engineering work, risks, and execution—ensuring predictable delivery across complex, dependency-heavy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve delivery visibility across cross-team dependencies, including blockers and integration risks.
• Model impact of scope changes, timeline shifts, and capacity constraints; present structured options and clear trade-offs to decision-makers.
• Enforce backlog readiness discipline so work entering execution is well-defined and dependency-mapped.
• Proactively identify and manage delivery risk by surfacing issues early, quantifying impact, and framing resolution paths for engineering and product leadership.
• Improve and sustain delivery operating norms to reduce rework, carryover, and execution variability.
• Use AI tools to accelerate delivery operations (e.g., status synthesis, risk narrative generation, backlog readiness summaries) while applying judgment on prioritization and stakeholder framing.

Influence & Stakeholder Management

• Drive shared clarity and accountability on delivery commitments by influencing engineers and product managers through structure and data.
• Frame delivery trade-offs with explicit implications for timeline, quality, and capacity.

Requirements

• Technically fluent delivery manager who can operate at the team level and understand the full software development lifecycle (planning through delivery).
• Ability to work in ambiguity and reset expectations clearly when dependencies slip, scope pressure mounts, or execution variability appears.
• Experience adjusting delivery discipline based on different team operating models (flow/service-oriented vs iteration-based).
