Senior Data Visualizations Analyst

Role Overview

Senior Data Visualization Analyst who combines technical visualization skills with business acumen to deliver analytics and visualization solutions for healthcare data (HIE context). You will design, develop, enhance, maintain, support, and plan visualization capabilities while evolving the organization’s visualization strategy.

Responsibilities

• Use modern BI/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau and Power BI) to create clear, concise data storytelling.
• Build healthcare analytics visualizations and support data linkages to those visualizations.
• Compile and analyze data from large healthcare datasets across healthcare systems/applications.
• Present analysis clearly so stakeholders can make data-driven decisions.
• Create and deliver standard reporting, queries, and ad-hoc reporting to stakeholders.
• Independently lead analysis across multiple stakeholder projects and recommend solutions to senior leadership.
• Partner with department leads to understand/document business requirements and implement reporting.
• Act as a lead visualization SME providing direction and guidance to analysts.
• Lead continual improvement efforts for data normalization and mapping within the HIE (e.g., Identity and terminology workgroups).
• Identify, document, and report issues related to design, reliability, and maintenance; lead others effectively.
• Promote a culture of continual service improvement and recommend efficient ways to use HIE data.
• Provide proactive technical support, monitoring, and clear status/procedural updates in critical customer environments.
• Drive and document analytics standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in visualization solutioning for large healthcare datasets.
• Strong understanding of HIE platforms, applications, and product offerings.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams and customers.
• Proven analytics and visual storytelling skills across business areas supported by the HIE.
• Local residency required in one of the base locations (Phoenix AZ, Denver CO, or Grand Junction CO).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience leading process improvement around data normalization/mapping and working with identity/terminology groups.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a lead SME and mentor other analysts.
