Role Overview

Join xentral as a Senior Data Scientist in a hands-on role shaping the future of AI in ERP workflows. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, customer teams, and data science to design, prototype, evaluate, and deploy AI features.

Key Missions

• Design and implement KI/AI features in ERP workflows.
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure quality and performance of AI features.
• Translate user requirements into data workflows and scalable solutions.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, customers, and fellow data scientists to define the next generation of ERP intelligence.
• Audit, optimize, and scale customer-facing SQL reports on the ERP platform to meet user needs.

Responsibilities

• Build and iterate on AI features for real-world deployments.
• Assess AI concepts and apply them to ERP use cases.
• Produce evaluation methods, metrics, and frameworks for AI effectiveness.
• Improve and optimize SQL-based reporting for end users.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of generative AI components, including:
  • LLMs, embeddings, logprobs, and evaluation methods/metrics
• Strong expertise in Python and relevant ML/AI frameworks, including AI design patterns such as RAG.
• 5+ years experience in a data science / machine learning / AI engineering role.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex, user-facing reporting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English and German.
