Senior Data Scientist

Role overview

Join ServiceTitan as a Senior Data Scientist to optimize the customer onboarding process using machine learning and generative AI. You will design, develop, and deploy advanced models to improve the speed and quality of customer transitions, partnering closely with engineering and product.

Key missions & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning and generative AI models for better onboarding efficiency.
• Apply statistical rigor to guide model development, interpret results, and ensure reliability of analytical insights.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy models into production, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Build and maintain data science infrastructure and pipelines using cloud computing.
• Implement and improve LLM evaluation and reliability mechanisms, including guardrails for customer-facing outputs.
• Develop agentic workflows and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a data science role delivering impactful, production-grade solutions.
• Practical experience with Generative AI concepts (building and testing GenAI solutions).
• Strong SQL and Python skills; deep data science ecosystem knowledge including PyTorch, Transformers, scikit-learn, and XGBoost/LightGBM.
• Strong foundation in statistics including hypothesis testing, experimental design, and causal inference.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure AI Studio, Foundry).
• Clear communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights.

Nice to have

• Experience building/deploying MCPs (bonus).
• Familiarity with C# and .NET for integration with ServiceTitan engineering.
• MLOps/LLM Ops best practices, including LLM evaluation frameworks such as RAGAS and DeepEval.
• Expertise implementing guardrails and reliable outputs for customer-facing GenAI.
