Senior Data Scientist (Sales)

Role overview

Join Wealthsimple as a Senior Data Scientist (Sales), supporting the Commercial team across decision science and machine learning. You’ll lead high-priority initiatives, own decision-science outcomes, and help shape the direction of the Commercial function and the AI Voice Agent program.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-priority initiatives as a decision science expert for Commercial and AI Voice Agent.
• Build and maintain accurate, reliable data models.
• Develop, implement, and improve machine learning models in close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Design and run experiments to test hypotheses (including A/B testing).
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics aligned to company north-star metrics.
• Partner with a wide range of stakeholders and present insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Applied statistics and experimentation experience in an industry setting (e.g., A/B Testing).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent SQL and Python.
• Good understanding of business practices related to sales and client behavior.
• 5+ years of experience in data science/decision science (or equivalent), with primary domain DS experience.
• Experience managing or mentoring team members (formal or informal).
• Solid understanding of core machine learning algorithms and experience bringing models into real-world production.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools such as dbt and Airflow.
