Senior Data Scientist (Risk)

Role Overview

Join Found as a Senior Data Scientist (Risk) to identify, mitigate, and manage financial and operational risks across product offerings. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to build scalable risk controls while helping leadership understand risk trends and long-term strategy.

Key Missions

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, transaction patterns, and user behavior to assess credit, fraud, and compliance risks.
• Partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to design, build, and deploy automated risk controls and decisioning systems that balance user experience with platform safety.
• Provide risk insights and recommendations to leadership on risk trends, policy improvements, and long-term risk strategy.

Profile / Requirements

• Strong analytical mindset with comfort working with large datasets to generate actionable insights.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and other analytical software.
• Ability to influence and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to clearly explain complex risk issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 7+ years in Analytics or Data Science.
• Startup experience.
• Prior experience in risk within a fintech/financial services context.
