Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview

Join Pager as a Senior Data Scientist to lead high-impact data science and AI initiatives. You will develop, evaluate, deploy, and monitor machine learning and AI solutions that measurably support the business.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI-powered solutions
• Validate and evaluate machine learning and generative AI systems using comprehensive evaluation strategies
• Work with Engineering and Data Engineering to implement, operationalize, and scale models in production
• Create and run benchmarking and model evaluation frameworks
• Communicate findings and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders
• Apply MLOps practices for model monitoring and production AI systems
• Build and evaluate generative AI solutions (LLMs, RAG, or AI agents)

Requirements

• Strong foundation in statistics, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and predictive modeling
• Experience with large datasets and distributed data processing environments
• 7+ years in data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, or related
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Master’s preferred)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL plus common ML frameworks
• Demonstrated experience deploying machine learning models in production
• Ability to lead projects and collaborate cross-functionally
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks and benchmarking methodologies
• Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and production AI
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Nice to Have / Additional Signals

• Experience in healthcare, digital health, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of responsible AI (explainability, bias mitigation)
