Senior Data Scientist - Operation Research

Role Overview

Tiger Analytics is hiring a Senior Data Scientist focused on Operation Research, Pricing Analytics, and supply chain optimization for the Retail/CPG space. You will refactor and extend optimization algorithms, build predictive and optimization models, and translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor an existing Python optimization algorithm using Object-Oriented Programming
• Apply data science to solve supply chain and optimization business problems for Retail and/or CPG
• Use advanced statistical techniques to support pricing optimization and actionable insights from large datasets
• Develop predictive models and optimization algorithms to:
  • improve inventory management
  • reduce stockouts
  • optimize resource allocation across the supply chain
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert requirements into data-driven solutions
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate replenishment strategies and allocation policies
• Monitor KPIs related to replenishment and allocation; provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data science, replenishment optimization, and supply chain management
• Collaborate and mentor/coach within a growing team of Data Scientists

Requirements

• 6+ years experience as a Data Scientist, with focus on supply chain optimization and inventory allocation
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Experience with mathematical programming solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress-MP, CPLEX, or Google OR-Tools
• Experience with MLflow and model lifecycle management
• Ability to build end-to-end ML pipelines in production
• Strong foundation in statistical methods, optimization techniques, and predictive modeling
• Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Ability to apply analytical models to business use cases
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with business stakeholders
