Senior Data Scientist

Role overview

Join Northbeam as a Senior Data Scientist to build and scale measurement products. This applied role translates statistical and causal inference methodologies into reliable, production-grade systems across the full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain production systems that power Northbeam’s measurement products
• Translate statistical and causal inference methods into scalable, dependable capabilities for clients
• Improve measurement systems across accuracy, coverage, reliability, and operational robustness
• Own projects end-to-end, from:
  • problem definition and methodology evaluation
  • model development
  • production deployment
  • monitoring and operational support
• Support customers by troubleshooting and assisting with measurement outputs
• Debug issues across the full stack, including source data, data pipelines, model logic, production services, and customer-facing outputs

Requirements

• 5+ years building and deploying data science / machine learning / AI systems in production environments
• Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, experimentation, and causal inference applied to real business problems
• Ability to drive projects from concept to production with high autonomy in a fast-paced startup environment
• Strong communication skills; can explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to write production-quality code that is maintainable, testable, and reliable
• Demonstrated growth mindset and willingness to learn new domains, technologies, and measurement methodologies
• Degree in a quantitative field (B.S. required, M.S. or PhD preferred)

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a highly quantitative discipline
