Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview

As a Senior Consultant – Data Scientist, you will own the end-to-end design and execution of data science projects. You’ll partner with client stakeholders to convert complex business problems into data-driven strategies, build and deploy ML/predictive models, and present results to executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning and predictive models that drive measurable business outcomes
• Translate business problems into data science solutions with client stakeholders
• Apply advanced methods including deep learning, NLP, and statistical techniques at scale
• Deploy and monitor models in production using CI/CD and MLOps best practices
• Work with large-scale data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS)
• Present findings and recommendations in clear, actionable terms for executives
• Mentor junior data scientists and help shape data governance practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in predictive analytics using Python, R, or Scala
• 3+ years writing complex SQL for data extraction and transformation
• Hands-on experience with machine learning, including deep learning and NLP
• Large-scale data platform experience: Hadoop, Spark, and cloud-based solutions
• AWS experience for production data processing, analytics, and model deployment
• CI/CD experience for data science/ML pipelines
• Strong communication skills; ability to explain models to non-technical executives
• Experience delivering in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice to Have

• Federal government / government consulting experience
• MLOps tooling such as MLflow or SageMaker
• GenAI/LLM experience (e.g., RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering)
• Familiarity with DORA metrics in an analytics context
