Senior Data Product Analyst

Role Overview

Join YipitData as a Senior Data Product Analyst and help lead the company’s AI-powered product initiative. You’ll turn raw alternative data into evolving, trusted data products and develop the methodologies that convert data signals into reliable business insights.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

• Translate raw alternative datasets into product-ready data for AI-driven experiences.
• Design methodologies that answer high-value business questions, including how to combine, normalize, and interpret disparate datasets.
• Partner closely with data engineering to shape source-to-analytics data pipelines into clean, well-structured datasets.
• Influence how hundreds of customers interact with the data product and how it scales over time.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of shipping product work, solving hard problems, and making a measurable impact.
• 3–6 years of experience in one or more of: data product management, product analytics, analytics engineering, data science, market intelligence, alternative data (or closely related).
• Strong SQL fluency; comfortable with data pipelines, schema changes, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Experience owning data documentation, metric definitions, and/or data quality programs (not only ad hoc analysis).
• Deep experience with alternative or complex nuanced data sources (e.g., alternative data, panel data), including understanding limitations and methodological subtleties.
• Strong cross-functional coordination (technical data teams + product/commercial stakeholders).
• Clear, structured communication—able to translate complex data methodology into actionable guidance.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfort with ambiguity and driving progress without fully defined paths.

• Prior exposure to AI/ML products, LLM-based agents, or evaluation frameworks.
