Senior Data Platform Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer at SentiLink, you will own the data infrastructure components that power the company’s fraud detection products. You’ll partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to build, enhance, and modify the data platform supporting identity verification at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build, expand, and optimize data infrastructure to create accurate identity and relationship datasets.
• Develop and operate secure, scalable, reliable ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines that meet product requirements.
• Design and maintain a data observability framework for data quality and freshness.
• Optimize the data storage layer and build/maintain interfaces for scalable, fast access.
• Collaborate with product squads on data platform needs for smooth delivery of new and existing products.
• Participate in production call rotation for incident response.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to evolving engineering best practices.
• Drive innovation via hackathons and proof-of-concepts.
• Develop subject-matter expertise in areas of the identity fraud domain.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang and related technologies/frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale using distributed processing (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWS (also acceptable: Azure/GCP).
• Strong understanding of databases including RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL), NoSQL/search (e.g., OpenSearch), and columnar data stores; ability to write efficient queries and optimize them.
• Experience building enterprise-grade, scalable, containerized data services (with Kubernetes).
