Senior Data Platform Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer at SentiLink, you will own the data infrastructure components that support the company’s fraud detection and identity verification products. You’ll partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to build and evolve the data platform.

Responsibilities

• Build, expand, and optimize data infrastructure to create highly accurate identity datasets and relationships
• Develop and operate secure, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that meet product requirements
• Design and maintain a data observability framework for strict quality and freshness standards
• Optimize data storage and build/maintain interfaces for fast, scalable data access
• Collaborate with product teams (“squads”) to support data platform needs
• Participate in call rotation for production issues
• Mentor junior engineers and help evolve engineering best practices
• Drive innovation via hackathons and proof of concepts
• Develop subject matter expertise in identity fraud domain areas

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or related fields
• Proficient in Python and/or Go (Golang)
• Expertise building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale using distributed processing (e.g., Spark, Hadoop/Kafka or similar)
• Hands-on experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Deep understanding of database technologies (RDBMS like PostgreSQL, NoSQL like OpenSearch/vector DBs, columnar stores) and query optimization
• Experience building enterprise-grade, scalable, containerized data services/frameworks on Kubernetes

• The role is remote, US-based, with possible regular in-office time if near a company office (listed U.S. and India locations).
