Role overview

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer at SentiLink, you will own the data infrastructure that powers the company’s identity verification and fraud detection products. You’ll partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to build, enhance, and evolve a data platform used for real-time identity and relationship data.

Responsibilities

Build, expand, and optimize data infrastructure to create the most accurate identity dataset and relationship mappings.
Develop and operate secure, scalable, reliable ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines aligned to product requirements.
Design and maintain a data observability framework to enforce data quality and freshness standards.
Optimize the data storage layer and build/maintain interfaces for fast, scalable access.
Collaborate with product squads to support data platform needs for delivery of existing and new products.
Participate in production call rotation for issue response.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to evolving engineering best practices.
Drive innovation via hackathons and proof of concepts.
Develop functional subject-matter expertise across identity fraud domain areas.

Requirements

5+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or related fields.
Proficient in Python or Go (Golang) and related frameworks.
Expertise building/maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale, using distributed processing (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka or similar).
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong understanding of database technologies, including RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL), NoSQL/search (e.g., OpenSearch / vector DB), and columnar stores, plus query optimization.
Experience building enterprise-grade scalable containerized data services and frameworks on Kubernetes.
