Senior Data Platform Engineer

Role: Senior Data Platform Engineer

Own and evolve the data infrastructure powering SentiLink’s identity verification and fraud detection products.

Responsibilities

• Build, expand, and optimize data infrastructure to produce the most accurate identity datasets and relationship mappings.
• Develop and operate secure, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that meet product requirements.
• Design and maintain a data observability framework to ensure data quality and freshness.
• Optimize data storage and build/maintain interfaces for fast, scalable data access.
• Partner with product teams (squads) to support data platform needs for smooth delivery of products.
• Participate in production call rotation and help handle production issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to evolving engineering best practices.
• Drive innovation via hackathons and proof of concepts.
• Build domain expertise across identity fraud subject areas.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Golang.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale using distributed processing (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka or similar).
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWS (Azure/GCP acceptable).
• Strong understanding of multiple database technologies, including RDBMS (e.g., Postgres) and NoSQL/search (e.g., OpenSearch/vector DB/columnar stores), plus query optimization.
• Experience building enterprise-grade, scalable, containerized data services and frameworks on Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with identity fraud domain knowledge.
• Participation in hackathons and delivering proof of concepts.
