About the role

Role overview

Join the Data Engineering team as a Senior Data Platform Engineer. You will build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for blockchain data processing, integrate blockchains and protocols (including AMM protocols), and deliver continuous improvements with strong engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain data pipelines for blockchain data processing, including integration of blockchains and Automated Market Maker (AMM) protocols
Design and implement features end-to-end; deliver improvements continuously
Provide code review and support other team members
Integrate new technologies into existing processes and tools
Migrate existing services to Docker containers

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering experience (backend services/APIs or data pipelines)
Advanced SQL skills, including writing, understanding, and debugging complex queries
Strong Python experience
Experience with data lakes/warehouses and relational + analytical databases
Docker experience and ability to migrate services
Strong database architecture principles
Unit testing knowledge and practices
POSIX/Unix/Linux ecosystem knowledge
Distributed systems experience
Team-oriented and good communication
Willingness to learn blockchain technology
Experience with API frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI

Nice to have

Big data/framework experience: Kafka, Spark, Dask, Flink
Kubernetes experience
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and Ansible
Open-source experience
Java experience (or willingness to learn)
