Senior Data Platform Engineer

Role overview

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer II at Aledade, you will architect and manage high-performance, distributed data environments that power healthcare analytics. You’ll be responsible for the health, optimization, and security of the data platform, enabling data to be accessible and expressive for web applications and AI, while mentoring other engineers.

Key missions

• Architect & manage distributed data environments with a focus on scalability and performance, specifically across Databricks Lakehouse and Snowflake.
• Develop and implement scalable, performant solutions and partner with Engineering and Product stakeholders to execute technical roadmaps.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, including thorough pull request reviews, and iterate based on feedback.

Requirements

• 6+ years building and optimizing highly scalable distributed data systems (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Snowflake).
• BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years coaching other engineers.
• 3+ years acting as a trusted technical decision-maker delivering short- and long-term business value.
• 3+ years working with SQL and data modeling on large multi-table datasets.
• Healthcare data expertise working with EHR and clinical/health data complexities (e.g., HL7/FHIR) and claims data.
• Sensitive data handling experience with HIPAA and SOX compliance frameworks.
