Key missions

  • Analyze incoming vendor data to identify omissions, inaccuracies, and inconsistencies.
  • Build automated data quality monitoring and alerting systems to catch issues before they reach customers.
  • Own vendor data quality relationships, working directly with data providers to drive upstream fixes.

Responsibilities

  • Create and run production-grade data integrity checks and monitoring.
  • Investigate large datasets to find patterns in missing or incorrect data.
  • Produce clear findings and lead conversations with data providers to remediate root causes.
  • Apply a product mindset by connecting data quality to the user experience.

Requirements

  • Senior-level engineering capability: build production systems (not just notebooks).
  • Strong SQL skills, with hands-on work in PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
  • Comfort owning vendor relationships, including calls with data providers and driving resolution.
  • Product mindset: evaluate data quality by its impact on user experience and the product’s behavior.
  • Self-directed problem solving: identify issues proactively, quantify them, and propose fixes.
  • Node.js proficiency; TypeScript experience is a plus.
  • Experience with agentic software development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) as part of daily workflow.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare or insurance domain knowledge (regulated, accuracy-critical data).

Benefits (high level)

  • Healthcare coverage
  • Unlimited vacation
  • Ongoing learning opportunities
