Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview

You will build, maintain, and test software architecture and infrastructure for managing data applications. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be an anchor for functional streams of work and ensure timely delivery of core capabilities for data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate modern data architecture to meet business objectives and provide end-to-end data solutions.
• Build data processing pipelines and tackle challenging client problems.
• Collaborate with data scientists to implement scalable solutions for models.
• Write clean, iterative code and apply TDD.
• Use continuous delivery practices to deploy, support, and operate data pipelines.
• Select and use appropriate distributed storage and computing technologies.
• Develop and implement data models using suitable modeling techniques and the right tech stack.
• Partner with the team on data governance, data security, and data privacy.
• Incorporate data quality into daily engineering work.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines and maintaining data storage in distributed systems.
• Experience with data modeling and modern data engineering tools/platforms.
• Ability to write clean, high-quality code in a preferred programming language.
• Experience building and deploying large-scale data pipelines/data-centric applications in production using distributed storage and distributed processing platforms.

• Experience with modern approaches such as data mesh and other current big data frameworks.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills to enable credible and shared problem solving within a delivery-oriented team.
