Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer at Modern Health, you will design, develop, and maintain the company’s data infrastructure. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data pipelines and ensure strong data quality, accuracy, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for reliable data integration and analytics.
• Architect and implement data storage solutions including data warehouses, data lakes, and databases.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
• Work with principles of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with big data technologies, distributed systems, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Deep expertise in functional programming languages such as Python, Go, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science or related).
• Communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering (or software engineering with data warehousing experience, or data science with data infrastructure experience).

Nice-to-haves

• Proven experience in data governance and robust data architecture practices.
